Centenary Meals on Wheels Inc. volunteers deliver 3 course frozen meals to our clients from Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, except public holidays. Extra frozen meals can be supplied to cover weekends and public holidays. All meals are prepared and served in compliance with Food Safety Regulations.
We offer much more than just a nutritious meal. Our volunteers offer a friendly smile, a chat about the weather or family, and a sense of security to our clients through our daily visits. Our personal face to face service, as opposed to a drop and go esky style, subtly enables us to check on the wellbeing, health and safety of our consumers. Where necessary, we are able to contact family or another nominated person if the client needs assistance.
Our regular contact with our consumers enables people to continue to live in their homes and promotes good mental and physical health, freedom and lifestyle.
Our volunteers are dedicated to providing quality, consistent and friendly service.
We value and respect our consumers for their contribution to our community.
Centenary Meals on Wheels Inc. was formed by local caring volunteers in 1989.
Meals were originally supplied from the Kenmore Meals on Wheels Service but, as the population of the Centenary suburbs increased, the group felt there was a need to open a service in this area. Once established in the lower level of the Jindalee Bowls Club, our service commenced delivering meals.
Centenary Meals on Wheels is committted to protecting and upholding the right to privacy of clients, staff, volunteers, management committee members and representatives of agencies we deal with. In particular, Centenary Meals on Wheels is committed to protecting and upholding the rights of our clients to privacy in the way we collect, store and use information about them, their needs and the services we provide to them.
